Energetick is an Engineering & Project Management Consultancy offering a comprehensive catalogue of design and site-based services primarily to the Electricity Generation and Distribution Industry.

Offering innovative design, quality assurance, project management, site management and commissioning support, Energetick provides a quality service with more than 40 years of combined experience supporting the Renewable Energy Generation Community.

With a comprehensive construction and maintenance background in varied disciplines including Mechanical, Electrical and Commissioning Engineering, our team, provides a complete and considered project approach resulting in excellent constructability and enhanced operational outcomes.

Based in Taupo, Wil is a dynamic and committed member of any team, be it leading a technical group of Engineers and Project Managers or part of a dedicated Project Team. With degrees in Engineering and membership to Engineering New Zealand, Wil is an active member of the Engineering community.

Hayden Wise

Electrical Engineer & Commissioning Engineer

With more than 20 years hydro generation industry experience, Hayden is a dedicated Electrical Engineer with the ability to provide conceptual and detailed electrical design, installation specifications, construction support and quality assurance for project and maintenance works.

Nick Whelan

Project Manager

With a comprehensive background in heavy engineering, Nick seamlessly combines a practical and professional approach to project delivery throughout the Hydropower and Renewable Energy Industry. Covering both NZ and Australia, Nick is a versatile member of the team, coordinating and delivering international projects.

Michael Hobbs

Test Engineer
NDE - Electrotechnology

Michael is an established Test Engineer specialising in Power Systems. With more than 15 years hydropower generation experience, Michael provides a focused service both on and offsite.

Starting his career as an Electrician, Michael soon gained recognised Electrical Qualifications in support of his fast-progressing professional career. Complimenting his practical foundation, Michael offers Electrical Design and Project Support. Commissioning Services are a big part of what we do, and Michael is a recognised contributor acting as Test Technician and Commissioning Planner/Coordinator alike.

Chris Elliott

Mechanical & Asset Strategy Engineer

With over a decade of experience as an Asset Owner Engineer in the Australasian energy industry, Chris’ broad generation experience fosters a unique ability to work across all aspects of asset management. Be it long term strategic planning or project delivery through to ‘on the ground’ site support, Chris is a keen and enthusiastic engineer with a solutions focussed attitude committed to delivering results, no matter the challenge.

Matt Baird

Chartered Hydro Mechanical Engineer
BEng (hons), CPEng, CMEngNZ, IntPE(NZ)

Based in Hamilton, Matt is a Chartered Professional Engineer specialising in design within the field of Hydro Power Generation. With experience in asset management, design consultancy and refurbishment engineering, Matt has a unique insight into the requirements of plant operators, bringing with him the tools to innovatively address the bespoke requirements of hydro plant.

David Lowe

Principal Engineer
BTech, NZCE, CPEng, CMEngNZ

David is a Chartered Professional Electrical Engineer with over 35 years of electricity industry experience. Throughout his career, he has worked in various roles for asset owners, engineering consultancy and contracting organisations. A key skill David has, is being able to apply his practical operations and maintenance knowledge to conceptual and detailed designs to ensure ease of construction and to minimise operational impact.

Wayne Radonich

Senior Design Engineer
BTech(Industrial), BEng (Electrical), MEngNZ

Wayne is a Senior Electrical Engineer with over 31 years of electricity industry experience. Throughout his career, he has worked in various roles for asset owners, engineering consultancy and contracting organisations. A key skill of Wayne’s is his ability to use practical experience with conceptual design skills to get the best outcome for the client regarding design, installation through to commissioning.
